The Fashion Forward Culottes Are Back!

Yes, they are back and slowly emerging, whether you like it or not! LOL. Do you recall the last time you wore a pair of culottes? I bet it was a very long time ago. I remember owning pieces and wearing them but only until I was 12yo. Yup! because when I reached my teen-aged years, I was already conscious of the clothes I wear. Oh, not that I find culottes weird, haha, its just that I think that if you want to wear a pair of shorts or trousers, then you have to wear something that actually looks like shorts or trousers. Errr, do you get me?

Culottes is defined as women's knee-length trousers, cut with very full legs to resemble a skirt. So there you go! That explains my statement above. Thanks to google. LOL. I mean, why would one who intends to wear trousers would wear something that's just knee-length? Or, why would one who prefers to wear a pair of shorts, would pick something which resembles that of a skirt? Oh yes! Fashion is sometimes that complicated! LOL. 

Now, you'd ask why on earth am I wearing them now? Well, despite my reservation, I decided to wear them simply because it looks cool wearing one these days. Notice most of the shops' front window display are full of culottes? Its also quite a change in my long-standing 'short shorts' and skinny jeans. And to add to that, I found this pair to be not with the 'awkward length'. While culottes aren't very flattering, and despite the 'comic' attached to this piece of clothing, I realized that it's not that bad after all. So, here it is!
